Legal Canvas
The Review Agent
An AI reviewer that reads your documents the way opposing counsel would — checking them against your structure, flagging inconsistencies, and explaining unfamiliar terms.
What the Review Agent does
The Review Agent reads your document pack in the context of your fund and reports back on three things:
- Consistency — do the documents say what your structure says? If your builder has an 8% hurdle and a passage implies 6%, that gets flagged.
- Completeness — are the passages a document of this type normally carries actually present?
- Comprehension — for any term you did not write yourself, the agent can explain what it does and why it is there, in plain language.
Running a review
Trigger a review from the canvas and the agent works through the pack, leaving findings anchored to the passages they concern. Each finding explains the issue and, where appropriate, proposes language. You decide what to accept — findings never change your documents on their own.
What it is not
The Review Agent is a preparation tool, not a legal opinion. It makes you a sharper reader of your own documents and makes your counsel's hours count — the expensive conversation starts from a clean, internally consistent draft instead of a hunt for typos.
A good rhythm: run a review before every crystallization, and again whenever a negotiation round comes back from the other side.
