Legal Canvas
Crystallization
Crystallization locks your document pack into an immutable revision, ready to send and sign. Each crystallization consumes a legal credit.
What crystallization means
While you are drafting, your documents are deliberately fluid — they track your structure and absorb revisions. Crystallization is the moment you fix them: the current pack is locked as an immutable, numbered revision that will never silently change underneath a signature or a diligence review.
Crystallize when a version is leaving your hands — going to counsel for formal review, to an anchor LP, or out for signing.
Legal credits
Each crystallization consumes a legal credit. Credits are included in your Fund Launch package — talk to your account team to add more. The credit model keeps drafting free and unlimited — you only spend when you produce a locked revision, which is also the natural checkpoint for a final read-through.
After crystallization
Crystallizing does not freeze your fund — drafting continues on the live pack, and you can crystallize again when the next version is ready. Prior revisions remain available, so there is always an exact record of what was sent to whom.
Before you crystallize
- Run the and resolve or consciously dismiss its findings.
- Confirm your structure in Fund Builder is the one you intend to paper — the pack locks whatever the live state is.
- Check your credit balance in Settings → Billing.
