Fund Builder
Fund Builder overview
Fund Builder is where you assemble your fund's structure block by block — entities, asset class, fees, hurdle, and waterfall — with the economics modeled as you decide.
Structure as a sequence of decisions
A fund structure is really a chain of decisions: what kind of vehicle, holding what assets, charging which fees, splitting profits how. Fund Builder makes that chain explicit. Each decision is a block you can inspect, change, and understand — and every block shows you what it does to the fund's modeled economics before you commit to it.
How the builder proposes answers
For every open decision, the builder proposes options based on your asset class, strategy, and the choices you have already made. Proposals come with plain-language explanations of the trade-offs — you are never picking from an unexplained dropdown. Accept a proposal, tweak it, or replace it entirely; the model updates either way.
Nothing is final until you say so
Fund Builder is a sandbox. You can revise any block at any time, and the downstream surfaces — your deck and your draft legal documents — track the current state automatically. Terms only become fixed when you crystallize a document pack in Legal Canvas, and even then you can start a new revision. See .
